Frequently Asked Questions

Q. What is Hand Analysis? Is it the same as Palmistry?

A. Hand Analysis is a teachable, learnable science. It is based on traditional palmistry, using the lines, hand shape, finger prints and fingers to identify a person’s motivations, behaviors, desires and soulfully satisfying focuses in life and relationships. Unlike most people’s perception of palmistry, Hand Analysis is NOT predictive, not fortune–telling.

The value of Hand Analysis is that it accurately and rapidly gets to the bottom line, interprets a person’s personal map, the core issues and motivators for an individual. Hand Analysis creates an additional language and perspective on what people already know about themselves. It affirms and clarifies.

Hand Analysis addresses what is happening in the person’s life now, not in the future.

What differentiates Hand Analysis from palmistry are the following:

  • Hand Analysis does not teach predictions; palmistry often, but not always, is about predictions.
  • Hand Analysis can be taught; it does not require intuition or psychic skills.
  • Hand Analysis has basic structural rules that apply to everything in the hands: fingerprints, lines, finger sections, skin color and texture and hand shape.
  • These rules are consistent in application throughout the hand.
  • There are tangible, translatable and analytic explanations for each marking in the hand with Hand Analysis.

Often Palmists use your hand as a way to tap into your energy or soul patterns. These Palmists are probably not reading the actual line formations or discussing the lines, hand shape, fingerprints from a repeatable base.

Q. Can the lines in the hands change?

A. Yes. Everything in the hand can change except the fingerprints. The lines can change by getting longer, shorter, curvier, straighter, new ones created, old ones disappearing. The hand shape can change as well as the finger length and width. The finger sections can get wider or thinner, longer or shorter.

Q. What causes the changes in the hands?

A. Your conscious or unconscious beliefs, feelings, fears, worries, thoughts and/or focus on a topic. Trauma can also change line patterns.

Q. How are the fingerprints formed?

A. The fingerprints start forming 14 weeks after conception and are completely formed by 16 to 20 weeks after conception. They represent a blue print or map for your life, a DNA marking, a soul agreement, your Life Purpose contract for this lifetime. The fingerprints are the only parts of your hands that won’t change. All the other parts can change, and may or may not.

Q. How can you determine a person’s Life Purpose from the fingerprints?

A. There are 4 basic fingerprint patterns: the whorl, loop, tented arch and arch. There are two additional fingerprint types that are a combination of the whorl and loop: one is called a composite and the other is a peacock. The Life Purpose is developed by determining the specific fingerprint pattern for each finger. If you have whorls, then wherever the whorls are located, those fingers are the Life Purpose fingers. If you don’t have whorls, the next highest ranked is loops so the loops would be the Life Purpose fingers. Each finger has a specific purpose. The Life Purpose is interpreted by the meaning of the finger(s) on which the highest ranked fingerprints appear.

Q.Can you look at children’s hands and determine their Life Purpose?

A. Absolutely, if the child will allow me to look at the fingerprints. Sometimes they close their fists tightly, making it difficult. However, the lines can certainly be viewed and discussed.

Q. What do the heart lines represent?

A. The heart lines represent the emotional/feeling system in the body and they describe how you want to be treated in relationships. They also determine your perspective on how you view a relationship and you treat others.
